History

Since 1998 Mighty4 has served as the San Francisco Bay Area’s only annual Hip Hop cultural festival which strives to unify and preserve the four cornerstones of what is known as the Hip Hop culture: Emceeing (Rap music), Style Writing (aerosol culture), DJing, and Breakin’ (a.k.a. Breakdancing / Streetdance). Mighty4 provides Hip Hop enthusiasts and spectators of all ages with quality “edutainment” with professional to amateur level competition forums. These festival events also include featured special guest performances, cultural workshops, town hall Hip Hop discussion panels, 21+ night club events, free public park jams, and vendor market places catering to the street culture lifestyle.

Now in its 14th year of existence Mighty4 has expanded event tour operations across the world to as many as 40+ cities and growing. The annual San Francisco Mighty4 serves as the main home base anniversary bringing in thousands of attendees and supporters for the 3 day festival event weekend. Aside from festival event operations, Mighty4 Arts Foundation is currently working on Hip Hop arts after school programs in the San Francisco Bay Area and Honolulu Hawai’i. The theme of “bridging the gap” has always been the Mighty4′s driving factor in representing Hip Hop culture in its full entirety.
